Private · Full-Stack · Local-First
Umbra-Noesis is a full-stack human–AI system: local operating system, on-device cognition, purpose-built hardware, and a protocol language that governs how all of it communicates. The complete system stays in-house. Only the components are licensed.
The System
Most AI deployments are a patchwork — cloud model here, wrapper app there, third-party storage somewhere else. Umbra-Noesis owns every layer from the OS up: how it boots, how it thinks, how it talks to you, and how it connects to other nodes. Nothing is borrowed. Nothing routes through someone else's infrastructure without explicit permission.
The framework is private by design. Individual components are licensed to builders and operators who need a specific layer without adopting the full system.
Umbra-Noesis Stack
Governance layer — entity, protocol authority, and ecosystem coordination.
EVE OS
AI-aware Linux OS with embedded runners and safety layers.
EVAA Cognition
On-device cognitive layer for reasoning and orchestration.
PCe Systems
Hardware built for cognition as a first-class citizen.
AACP Protocol
Deterministic language for human–AI communication.
Umbra Link
Identity, routing, and local-first mesh connectivity.
VPMN
Private mesh network for secure node-to-node links.
Status
Where we are
Self-funded since 2023, formally incorporated late 2025. The core research claim — that a well-governed model outperforms a larger, ungoverned one — has been tested across three independent proof-of-concept rounds and confirmed by five outside AI evaluators using different methodologies, all landing on the same result.
The governance layer runs continuously today, on real hardware, staffed by AI agents operating under defined roles — with a human founder holding final authority over every decision the system makes.
Where we're going
EVE OS is built for multi-platform expansion, beginning with Linux — the public installer is in final preparation. From there: a licensed PCe hardware lineup, AACP as a standalone protocol component for other builders, and Umbra Link/VPMN maturing into full mesh connectivity between nodes.
The destination hasn't changed since day one — every layer of the stack available to people who want to run it themselves.
Who this is for
People and organizations who want to own their AI infrastructure instead of renting it — starting with technically capable early adopters who feel the gap between what cloud AI promises and what it actually is.
Also builders and operators who don't need the whole system — just a protocol, a runner shell, or a memory layer they can license into a stack they already run.

Licensing Model
The complete Umbra-Noesis environment — local OS, cognition, hardware integration, and protocol language — remains private and exclusive. What we license are the components that can safely enhance existing platforms without exposing the full stack.
AACP Protocol
Communication protocols and reference implementations for structured human–AI interaction.
Runner Shells
Orchestration layers for local and cloud models — drop into an existing stack.
Memory & UI Components
Injectors, structured tools, and interfaces purpose-built for governed AI workflows.
Philosophy
Question everything.
Especially the way AI systems are deployed, owned, and controlled. Umbra-Noesis exists to give builders and operators a different option: local-first, protocol-governed, and unapologetically human-centric.

umbra-noesis@pm.meThe difference
Quit prompting.
Start communicating.
Prompting is guesswork. Communication is structured. The Umbra-Noesis framework replaces the prompt loop with a governed language that both sides of the conversation actually understand.
